My Story

Who I am and what to expect

So, here’s the short version:

I’ve rented my whole adult life.

I know. Kind of odd for someone whose business is real estate. I’ll explain.

My husband Matt and I have been married 24 years, and we’ve raised our two kids through to adulthood in the houses we’ve rented along the way. We moved every few years, packed the boxes, learned a new neighborhood, and started over. Those places gave us a lot of good memories, and I’m grateful for every one. We liked where we’ve lived, and each place was nice. But it was always somebody else’s house that we got to enjoy for a while. We couldn’t put our own sweat equity into it, and we never quite let ourselves put down roots, because we knew that eventually we’d have to move again.

Then we moved and landed in Buckley, tucked between Enumclaw and Mount Rainier. This is the first place that’s made us seriously talk about staying. It has that real small-town feel, with friendly neighbors, a community that shows up for each other, and stunning views of the mountain. The shopping and everyday conveniences you’d want are literally a couple of minutes away. And when you’re in the mood for the excitement of a big city like Tacoma, it’s just a short drive. It’s the best of both.

For more than 15 years, I’ve built coffee bars inside churches and led large teams of dedicated volunteers to run them. Serving people is something I’m proud of, and it shapes how I do everything. Here’s what I know: people don’t remember the espresso. They remember whether they felt welcome the first time they walked in. It’s just coffee, but the comfort is the point, and so is the community it creates.

With all the years of serving people, I’ve realized what I love most is helping them feel at home. So I became a real estate broker. Now I get to help people sell the place they’ve outgrown and find the one that feels like home.

I’m standing right where a lot of first-time buyers are: dreaming about a front door that’s ours, with plenty of questions I’ve had and no one who could explain any of it to me in plain English. Now, in my role, I’ve built the expertise to be that person for you, and to make every step feel comfortable and clear.

Here’s what you can expect from me. Whether you’re buying your first place or selling the one that’s held your memories, I’ll tell you what’s true, and I won’t rush you. Yes, this is my business, and I’d love to help you get to the closing table. But what drives me is how you feel getting there: that you understood every step, got honest answers to all your questions, even the ones you almost didn’t ask, and had someone there with you the whole way.

Because to me, home was never really about the structure. It’s the people and the community a place lets you build, and the feeling of finally being somewhere that’s yours.

So that’s my story, and I’d love to be part of yours as well.
